How Our Designs Came to Be
When Prolite first started, we wanted to do things differently. Most rods on the market were heavier than they needed to be, packed with components and design choices that didn’t always serve the angler. We saw an opportunity to change that.
Our focus from day one was simple: build rods that are lighter, stronger, and designed with purpose. We experimented with materials that set our designs apart from the rest of the industry and challenged the traditional approach to rod building. The result? A lineup of rods that trims away what isn’t needed while keeping the performance where it matters most—on the water.
Evolving Without Compromise
Over time, our rod designs have grown with us. We’ve refined grips, experimented with advanced composites, and fine-tuned actions for specific fisheries. Yet some designs have stayed nearly the same, a testament to getting it right from the start.
The key has always been fitting the build to the rod. Every design starts with a clear purpose—then we craft each build to match, ensuring it’s not just a rod, but the right tool for the job.
