This one-day workshop gives you the chance to design and build a custom fishing rod from start to finish. Before the workshop, you’ll meet with us for a pre-workshop design session to select your blank and components. When you arrive, everything will be ready for your build day.

- Rod Design: Fundamentals of blanks, power, action, and length
- Component Selection: Choose guides, reel seats, grips, and thread during your pre-design session
- Assembly Techniques: Wrapping guides, applying epoxy, and finishing a rod
- Personalization: Decorative wraps, decals, and finishing touches
- Repair Skills: Practical methods for maintaining and fixing your rods
Workshop Details
- Pre-Workshop: Design session to choose your blank and components
- Duration: 1 day (8 hours)
- Location: Prolite’s Rod Shop
- Instructor: Experienced custom rod builder
- Tools: All tools and supplies provided
- Group Size: 2–5 attendees
Price: $250 per person (instruction + tool use). Rod blanks and components are purchased separately during your pre-workshop design session.
Pickup/Shipping: Completed rods will be shipped or available for pickup once the finish coat has cured.
