Prolite Carbon X 14-Rod Custom Boat Package | Albacore, Tuna & Live Bait Rod Set

Description & Details
  • A complete 14-rod custom boat package built for serious saltwater programs

The Prolite Carbon X Full Boat Custom Rod Package is built for charter operations, fleet operators, guide boats, and serious private boats that want a complete rod program built together instead of pieced together one rod at a time.

This package includes 14 Prolite Carbon X rods built on Batson RainShadow Judge blanks: 6 medium-light 20–40 lb rods for heavier trolling and tuna work, plus 8 extra-light 10–25 lb rods for live bait, lighter trolling, school tuna, yellowtail, dorado, albacore, and general saltwater boat duty.

It gives the boat two clean rod classes, one consistent Prolite build standard, and a complete setup that feels intentional from the first trip.

  • Built for albacore, tuna, live bait, and multi-rod boat spreads

This package is designed for boats that fish multiple rods at once and need the spread to make sense. Instead of every rod being identical, this setup gives you the right mix of power across the boat.

The 6 heavier 20–40 lb rods are built for Pacific albacore trolling, school tuna, light offshore trolling, heavier live bait, and situations where more pulling power matters.

The 8 lighter 10–25 lb rods are built for live bait, smaller trolling gear, yellowtail, dorado, blackfin tuna, striped bass, lighter albacore work, nearshore saltwater fishing, and anglers who want more feel in the fight.

For Pacific Northwest albacore boats, this creates a complete offshore spread. For national saltwater use, it gives private boats and charter programs a versatile 14-rod platform for tuna, yellowtail, dorado, kingfish, cobia, stripers, rockfish, lingcod, and light boat fishing.

  • Two matched rod classes, built as one custom package

This is not a mixed rack of random rods. Each rod class is matched within the package, and the full set is built with the same Prolite Carbon X standard, component quality, and finished look.

    • 14 total Prolite Carbon X saltwater rods
    • 6 × 7' 20–40 lb medium-light rods on Batson RainShadow Judge JDGLB70ML-CG blanks
    • 8 × 7' 10–25 lb extra-light rods on Batson RainShadow Judge JDGLB70XL-CG blanks
    • Two clean rod classes for different jobs on the boat
    • Matching Carbon X build style across the full package
    • Saltwater-grade components throughout
    • Built together as one custom boat rod package

  • Why a full boat package matters

A full boat rod package makes the boat easier to fish, easier to organize, and easier to standardize. The crew knows which rods belong in which role. Anglers get a consistent feel. The spread looks clean, fishes clean, and avoids the frustration of mismatched rods that all behave differently.

For charter boats, that means fewer decisions and a more professional deck. For private boats, it means your rod program is dialed from the start. For fleet operators, it means repeatable setups across boats, crews, and seasons.

This is the no-decision-fatigue way to outfit a serious saltwater boat with custom Prolite rods.

  • Northwest-built with national saltwater reach

Prolite rods are designed and assembled in Olympia, Washington, with real Pacific albacore, salmon, steelhead, and saltwater experience behind the build. This package fits Northwest tuna boats especially well, but it is not limited to the Northwest.

The 10–25 lb and 20–40 lb classes are useful across the country for live bait, light trolling, tuna, yellowtail, dorado, kingfish, cobia, striped bass, nearshore structure fishing, and utility saltwater boat work.

It is a Pacific Northwest-built rod package with national saltwater purpose.

  • Best fit

This package is best for charter operators, fleet operators, guide boats, and serious private boat owners who want a complete custom rod setup built around real fishing roles.

Choose this package if you want a full boat program for albacore, tuna, live bait, light trolling, and saltwater boat fishing. If you only need a single rod or a smaller spread, start with the individual Prolite Carbon X models or the 6-rod custom trolling set.

Not a factory rod

You’re not looking at another production model.

Most rods on the market are built to a price point. Components are chosen for margin. Blanks are sourced overseas and assembled fast. The result is a rod that performs within a range — fine for the average, not built for you.

Every rod on this page came out of our shop. The builder who made it fishes the same waters you do. The components were selected for this specific application — not because they were in stock or on sale. That’s the difference you’ll feel the first time you cast it.

🇺🇸 Hand-built in the USA

Every rod we sell, we build.

This rod was built by us — same shop, same hands that built the last one and will build the next. If you want something configured around your technique, species, and style, here’s how a custom build works.

01

Tell us how you fish

Species, technique, water type, and how you want the rod to feel. The more you share, the better we can build.

02

Choose your components

Blank, guides, handle, reel seat, and finish. Every decision shapes how the finished rod performs in your hands.

03

We build it to spec

The same care goes into every rod — whether it’s your first custom or your tenth.

04

Ships to your door

Built exactly the way it was designed. Ready to fish on any water you point it at.

“I recently had a custom rod built and added a few touches for a tribute for a lost loved one. Tanis the builder went above and beyond and was super informative. He sent pics and communicated with me through the whole process. I highly recommend this fishing rod company and will be doing business again in the near future.”

“Chris and the talented team behind ProLite Rods are exactly what we want and have missed in this industry for a while now. Their knowledge and guidance in the rod building process matches the highest quality components they use. I was attracted to the fact they fish and fine tune the products I am using in the same waters. The team understands what I mean when describing the nuances of needs and application.”

“I’ve had experiences with Chris and ProLite for about ten years now. He is very approachable, accessible, and open minded when it comes to designing custom rods. All my current rods are over 5 years old and have no damage despite my lack of care for them. They may be light but they are not weak! I just ordered my 6th ProLite salmon rod, and his staff called me after the order just to assure everything would be just right.”

Common Questions

What anglers ask before they buy.

  • Is this rod in stock and ready to ship?

Yes. Pre-built rods on ProliteRods.com are finished builds ready to go. Orders typically ship within 2–3 weeks of purchase.

  • Can I get this rod in a different configuration?

Absolutely. This is one example of what comes out of our shop. If you want a different length, action, power, handle style, or guide setup — Get Your Estimate → and we’ll put together a build spec for you.

  • What’s the difference between this rod and a custom build?

This rod was built to a spec our team chose. A custom build starts with your fishing — species, technique, water, feel — and we work backward from there. Both come out of the same shop with the same care. Talk to a Builder → if you’re not sure which is right.

  • How long does a custom build take?

Custom builds vary by complexity and current queue. Most builds are completed in 4–8 weeks. Get Your Estimate → and we’ll give you a realistic timeline upfront.

  • Do you stand behind the rods you build?

Every rod we sell leaves our shop built right. If something isn’t right, we want to know. Reach out directly → — we’d rather fix it than have you fishing with something that doesn’t perform.
