How Prolite Was Built

Product, process, team, and the operating system behind a custom-manufacturing company.

Prolite Rod Technology was built from a product idea into a working manufacturing company. It has delivered more than 2,000 individually configured products while maintaining a 5.0-star customer rating, across product development, sourcing, production, quality, customer service, and the operating platform that connects all of it.

Building the Company

Custom product platforms, manufacturing processes, production standards, a trained team, and the operating systems required to deliver individually configured products consistently — without removing the choices that make each build unique.

That meant owning the whole chain rather than one piece of it: sales, product design, sourcing, production, quality, fulfillment, warranty service, and financial performance. A decision that is technically right can still be too slow, too expensive, or wrong for the customer. Running every part of the operation is what makes those tradeoffs visible.

Rod Builder Pro

Too much of the company depended on knowledge held in one head. Rod Builder Pro was built to turn that knowledge into a working system — an operating platform connecting customer intake, product configuration, quoting, purchasing, inventory, production, fulfillment, communication, and service history through a single source of truth.

Building it meant defining the requirements, workflows, business rules, data relationships, acceptance criteria, and AI-assisted decision logic, then testing and refining each part against real orders and daily production work. The goal was never automation for its own sake. It was making sure the right information reaches the right person at the right moment, so quality does not depend on one person being available.

Where the Standards Come From

Before Prolite: fifteen years in commercial and industrial electrical construction with IBEW Local 76. Installing and commissioning switchgear, feeders, power distribution, motor and control circuits, communications systems, structured cabling, and server racks across aerospace flight-simulation facilities, data centers, industrial plants, and commercial buildings.

A five-year U.S. Department of Labor-registered apprenticeship, graduated top of class, then directly into foreman responsibility — leading crews of two to eight electricians and managing electrical scopes from planning and layout through installation, commissioning, inspection, and turnover.

That work runs on drawings, specifications, code, inspection, and systems that have to function correctly the first time, because the consequences of getting them wrong are not cosmetic. Prolite is built to the same standard. A fishing rod is a smaller system than a switchgear lineup, but the discipline is identical: understand the requirement, build it right, verify it, and stand behind the result.
